Queen Elizabeth II

"The heart of the monarch, is the heart of the nation" - Maimonides

A sad day for the nation, as we mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. An inspiration to so many, and a shining light of values and dedicated service. She will surely be missed, and continue to be an everlasting source of inspiration to the Jewish community, and the entire country.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. The Queen was a role model of class, dignity, Tznius and grace.

When Mrs Tzipora Sufrin was in Yechidus the first time after coming to England on Shlichus, the Rebbe asked whether she had visited the schools while in NY. When she replied in the affirmative, the Rebbe asked if she noticed a difference between the schools in London and New York. She replied that the children in the USA are more familiar with teachers; in England they show greater Derech Eretz. The Rebbe said that that is because there’s a monarchy in England.
